Water, water and more water! I went to check one of my hide yesterday. It is under water. The river Thame has burst its banks. There is 50 centimeter of water inside my hide! This suppose to be a field!

This afternoon I went to my local patch. I was looking for badger activity when suddenly I came across three Tawny owl chicks. They were on the ground. I pick them up one by one and place them in a tree. (They are dog walkers in that place) Now, Did I have my camera with me? What do you think? No I did not!! I was cursing big style! I just had one thing to do. Drive back home to get my camera! It took me an hour to go back home to get the camera. When I came back, one of the three tawny owl chick had disappear. One was perched in a different tree and the other one was on a branch.
I took several pictures and left the owl. I am sure that the female Tawny owl was looking at me all the time.
Tomorrow I will go and another look .

This is something that I have noticed. The male hare (Here on the right) always seem to have darker eyes compare with the eyes of the female(On the left) I don`t know if this have something to do with age (Like Goshawk for example) I have noticed this on several occasion……If someone knows the answer please let me know.
By the way. If you look carefuly, this male has got a bloody nose….he must have got too close to the female!:)
