Fox day

Sometimes you have really successful days…Yesterday was one of those. It was a fox day!
For the first time in a year, I went to my hare paradise. I saw very few hares. I think that all the rain we had last year’s killed a lot of them. I did not see any of my old friends…I am really sad about this. They were no hares but they was a fox and what a fox. I stayed with that vixen for more than half an hours. At the moment the meadow is a dandelion sea . It was incredible. I took the pictures with the 500mm and the 2 time converter. (I like that new 2 time converter).

In the evening, I went to another fox den to see if they were any cubs.

Another fox

This morning, I went with some seeds at one of my feeding stations and came across another fox! It is easy to see them at the moment. I took this picture with my 500mm….I am lucky with foxes. I have to process all the pictures that I took in my woodland Hide. I had another fox there too. it came and took some peanuts that I placed on the ground, but it always was standing behind some of my perch….

Snow, Glorious snow

Snow, glorious snow. At last some great weather. For me every time snow come down,it`s like Christmas .
The difficulty is to find out where to go. As you want to score on those special days.At the moment,I have four feeding stations going . One in a reed bed, one in woodland, one in open countryside and one more “Raptor” hide. That was the hide that was flooded. This morning I decide to go to the Raptor hide. I had a road kill with me. I arrive in my hide and after setting everything up I waited three hours….No Raptor in sight but my favorite mammal appeared. A magnificent red fox….I was lucky to see and photograph that special mammal. To photograph a fox is one thing but to photograph a fox in the snow is always very special. I have done it hundred time but it always thrill me to do it….In the afternoon I went to my woodland hide for another four hours…..

Fight, fight,fight

Yesterday, I was back at the rut. I came across one of my customer. So, I was not on my own this time.
We were VERY lucky. We came across a stag fight. Not just any stags, but massive stags. It was incredible. The sound and the atmosphere were magical. I felt really privilege to have been witness to such a grand spectacle…
