Grey Partridge

Another one from Last week. I have been trying to photograph Grey partridge with a wide angle lens for quite a while. I have found it very difficult. (It`s part of the fun) This is my first “ok” result. It is taken with a 24 mm, remote control , etc…. Now I just need to get more birds in the picture……

This weekend, I did quite a lot of work at my feeding station. I have a shot in mind…I have try to do it but the picture does not quite work. I will have to try again in a different way…you will see what I am trying to do soon. Otherwise woodpecker everywhere…I have placed some new post because the sparrowhawk keep coming and I am sure that it is only a matter of time before I get it to perch on one of the post….
Here is also a picture of my setup…nothing special really. Really, you do not need a lot to take picture of wildlife.

Woodland hide take 3

Yesterday, I was thinking of going to Slimbridge. Problem is that Slimbridge has been a lot on Autumnwatch recently. So I decided not to go at the end because I felt pretty sure that the whole world and his wife would be there! So I decided to go back to my woodland hide. There is a picture that I wanted to take. I wanted to have a picture of a blue tit inside my steel ring and I did it. It was very difficult as those little tykes move all the time. It was a superb day, the light was beautiful. I was also lucky to have some superb birds around with two really special guests. The nuthatch (My favourite bird) and another incredibly beautiful bird, a male sparrowhawk which came to sunbathe in front of me. What a cracking day that was…
