There is a place about 5 miles from my home where there is a pair of barn owl. They have been there for years. The best way to photograph them is from the car. Early ..very early in the morning.
Three time the birds flew…From post to post….
I like the light on this one, lovely
The one that got away…Unfortunately the owl flew away from me. I can only think what would the picture had been if it had come towards me…
Yet again, I was at my woodland hide this morning. I am trying to take lot`s of different picture containing flowers. Because the will be gone soon….
The light became too strong very quickly…
A great spotted woodpecker was so close…I just photograph his head!
A robin used my Sparrowhawk perch…
For the last Month , I have been trying to get picture of a local barn owl.
Out of 15 outing, I dipped 13 time. I could see the bird almost every time, but there was always something….
Three days ago, I did get quite close….They are still a big crop , but I like the colours….
Hopefully , I will have more chance to photograph this incredible bird.
Yesterday, I was back in the woods with my window . I just love using a prop like that. I find it very photogenic.
Blue tit and great tit came strait away….
A first surprise…A great spotted woodpecker came and had a look…
Ten minutes after a magpie landed on one of the “Sparrowhawk” perch 🙂
Again, I went back to “my ” pheasants. It was quite interesting. lots of action…… I know that it is a common bird and it is not an endemic bird either…but the colours of that bird are quite remarkable…
Male were displaying
Male often feed female….
This one came so close. I took this picture with a 7d and 500mm and 1.4…the bird was 5 metres away! The colours are incredible…
Long recce this morning…..I am on the lookout for anything that move! I have found several interesting things….For once I took my long lens with me….
Long tailed tit are now building their nest.
