Today, I think that most people took a picture of the eclipse. It was a rare sight. It was cloudy in my village, but in a way, I was lucky as I could shout the sun directly. The cloud were like a graduated filter.
Here is one of my picture . I was running around like a demented fool trying to find something to place in the foreground. Here a red kite….
Yesterday, my friend Paul the farmer gives me a phone call! “Come quick he say, I am plowing and I have sixty red kite behind the plow” I jump in my hairdresser car and within 5 minutes I was where Paul was. Yes, it was unbelievable. They were red kite everywhere. More or less sixty birds. The red kites were feeding on worm and other insect. As soon as the plow cut the ground, they were dive bombing and landing to feed….It was a feeding orgy! Thanks Paul
Just behind the plow, red kite are looking for food
A few more shots of this magnificent bird!
I can`t understands people making the following statement” We have too many red kites in the Chilterns” What a load of…..
I just cannot understand those people…..Next thing will be reading is this: HEADLINE: “My child has been taken and eaten by a red kite!” ……..
Yesterday, I had a phone call from my friend Paul. (Paul is a farmer). Come quick, he says! I am spreading muck and there are red kite everywhere. I jump in my car and in two minutes I was at his field. The smell was…….Well, I just can`t describe it! The smell made my eyes watered! It was terrible. Paul arrived with his tractor and says to me “Look at the birds” Yes, Red kite were everywhere. I say to Paul “Man, the smell is terrible” His reply was “This is good muck man!” Christ oh mighty…it was bad…I took several pictures of birds. It was great…The moon was up and I waited for a bird to fly in front of it. This is what I got.
