I was lucky enough to go on the coast recently. I came across a flock of snow bunting.

Red kite

March 7, 2018 by fred Leave a Comment

With this  cold weather , it was"easy" to photograph birds, mammals, the cold make them more approchable. That is why Scandinavian wildlife photographers have got it so easy...they have the weather "helping" them . We are not so lucky here...

Several red kite came to feed….

Amazing sighting

March 1, 2018 by fred Leave a Comment

This morning a Carrion crow caught a knot in flight and killed it…It was an unbelievable thing to watch….

Frederic

The poor knot had no chance, but it`s the law of nature of course.

Grabbing the knot by the head to kill it, nasty

Mountain hare

February 13, 2018 by fred Leave a Comment

My target species during the quick dash was mountain hare…

When we arrived up there , they were no snow to be found….

Frederic

On the second day , the white stuff finally arrived….

The key is to find a “wally” . That mean finding a hare that is not afraid of human.

We found three!

This picture was taken with a 24 mm lens…the hare is about two metres away…amazing

Then the sun arrived, it was magical

We even had a snow storm

Now that I have found that hares spot I cannot wait to go back….soon….
