Yep. we had snow in Buckinghamshire. it is a rare occurrence. when this happened you have to be quick as it never last….
Roads were covered.
It`s always beautiful with an extra layer of snow…look very clean…
Sometime everything work perfectly well.
Yesterday morning was one of those morning where you could not go wrong. the weather was incredible, superb light, the subject were there and I was able to talked rubbish to a friend of mine during three hours…what else would you want ?????? 🙂 🙂
I had never seen so many Chinese water deer.
I counted 22 individual!!
The light was to die for…
Of course we had several brown hair…
Beautiful in that frost…
As I was saying in a previous post , I had an incredible day at my “Hare paradise”. We do not have snow often in this part of the world, so when there is snow, you have to know where to go. It is always a short window, so you have to capitalised on that short opportunities .
I just could not go wrong that day. I photograph everything I wanted to photograph and as a bonus I had some incredible behaviours…
The eye of the male (Left) was taking out by the female (Right) while I was there. the male wanted to mate and the female was not too keen! (They never are!)
The male was very persistent
At the end he had his reward.
While photographing hares, I also came across Grey partridge and Chinese water deer.
It was a great day!
It`s always nice to get a bit of snow. Here in Buckinghamshire we had a little bit of the white stuff . It lasted 5 minutes and it was gone.
I had placed a few apple in my garden. A fieldfare was eating one of the apple this morning. I went and sat in my hide and took a few shots.
I wish we had more snow!!!! It is easy to take picture of wildlife in the snow!!
This morning, I was at my hare paradise. I was in the middle of a snow storm. It did not last very long. The light was incredible. very dark and bright. Storm Light , the best!
When this happened, it usually does not last for very long….I have to find things to place in the foreground! And quickly!
At first, I took shots of sheep and after 10 minutes I came across a Brown hare….Beautiful…
The whole storm lasted 15 minutes and it was all over…
The only shot of brown hare that I took….
This morning I was “out there” It was magical. the light was not great but the frost acted as a flash gun. I was lucky to come several Chinese water deer. Male and female. They look very smart at this time of year.
Of course I had close encounter with “my” hares.
Brown hare were there too….Laying in the frost.
This is how I feel at the moment!
