it always surprises me to see seabirds inland. The lesser black back gull is one of those opportunistic birds. Here feeding amongst stubbles.

Catching up
On this “lovely” day I am catching up on my processing. Here a few more picture of the star bird we had locally. The bird is gone now. How many years will I have to wait to see a Sabine`s gull again….

Sabine`s gull
A Sabine`s gull was reported at a lake. The lake is about 15 minutes from my house. Despite the pooooooor weather I had to go. The last time I had seen this species was 25 years ago. It is one of the rare three coloured gull. It is a spectacular bird. I took a few pictures of that rare bird.

I am not a great fan of gulls…but it is still a beautiful bird too. Especially when you have a gorgeous light on them…
This is the yellow-legged gull. You can even see the black claws on the feet of the bird.
