Usually, this bird is very difficult to find. They are like ghost in a reedbed. This one is quite bold and I was lucky enough to be able to take a few pictures….

In January, I got a chance to photograph a Bittern. If I had a pound for how many hours of my life I waited to photograph this species, I would be a rich man! But this bird was showing well and was BOMB proof!

During my life, I must have spent hundreds of hours trying to photograph bittern. it`s a one bird shoot, as usually, there is nothing else to photograph. The wait can be very long…..
Still , I am not happy with these results. I must do better… Close but no cigar as they say…
