The bittern is not an “easy” bird. I have spent countless hours waiting for bittern. This picture was taken early morning. It was misty and dark. A good record shot.

Quick Recce

Two days ago I had a quick recce on farmland. It is still just about ok to drive across fields and farm tracks. But autumn is here and it is getting wetter and wetter. Soon it will be impossible to use the car as a hide….
