Bluebell is working ok. I need to build a pool in front of the hide to attract more wildlife….Will do that this winter.

Woodland hide
For two hours I was at my woodland hide today . One of the B—-y grey squirrel has made a hole in my peanuts bag! Five kilos of peanuts gone!
Few thrushes came today. I did not see the sparrowhawk.

The day before Christmas, I went to my woodland hide for a few hours. It was a weird day! The light was not very good but the number of species that came to the hide was incredible: I had a lesser spotted woodpecker singing above the hide, about 50 fieldfare came down to drink, the sparrowhawk came FIVE time and once landed on one of my post. Yes, he did and I missed the shot! and Yes, I did curse a lot! I am sure that it is only a matter of time before I get the little tike!
Since, that day the weather has been bad…I cannot wait for better weather…..at least last year we had snow on the ground and plenty of light….
