The red deer rut is almost over… I had mixed success this year.

Sunday, red deer morning

Had a cracking Sunday morning in company of red deer. The rut has started. I was standing in the middle of early morning mist. I could hear stag bellowing…It really was magical…..

Deer rut, almost over.

The red deer rutting season is almost over. Again, last Sunday was spectacular ! I had mist, sun at sunrise. it was beautiful.

Also they was a bit of running. One of the big male did not like having small stags around his female…

Fight, fight,fight

Yesterday, I was back at the rut. I came across one of my customer. So, I was not on my own this time.
We were VERY lucky. We came across a stag fight. Not just any stags, but massive stags. It was incredible. The sound and the atmosphere were magical. I felt really privilege to have been witness to such a grand spectacle…
