Scotland has got a good population of red squirrel. They are magical little mammal to watch and to photograph

I wanted a soft background, so I use the 500mm to take these shots….

Mountain hare

My target species during the quick dash was mountain hare…

When we arrived up there , they were no snow to be found….

On the second day , the white stuff finally arrived….

The key is to find a “wally” . That mean finding a hare that is not afraid of human.

We found three!

This picture was taken with a 24 mm lens…the hare is about two metres away…amazing

Then the sun arrived, it was magical

We even had a snow storm

Now that I have found that hares spot I cannot wait to go back….soon….

 

Scotland

Just had a quick dash to Scotland. I love Scotland. Scotland is a beautiful country and the people are very nice too.

I was going there to photograph Mountain hare, but First, a Scottish Speciality.

Yes, it`s a coal tit. what I find incredible is the amount of Lichen and moss they have up there.

The air must be very clean for those to be so prolific. It`s very photogenic

Here is a Scottish speciality, the crested tit.
