Yesterday evening, I had a magic encounter. I was doing a recce, when about 100 metres away, I clocked a buzzard on a post. I get closer and closer and closer… the bird doesn`t move at all. I stop the car. I first get out of the car with a 100-400 and take a few shots. I could not believe my luck. The bird was not phased at all. I go back in the car and get my wide angle lens. walk slowly towards the bird. I am now standing a metre away from the bird. I take loads of pictures. After FIVE MINUTES! yes five minutes, the bird takes off and flies away… IT WAS AMAZING!!
